Winter Projects
« on: November, 03, 2009, 08:04:30 PM »
Jeremy sent me a picture of his car today with a caption about it being the last drive of the year. Made me wonder what everyone had planned for winter projects while the weather turns bad.

So here it is:

1. What are your winter project goals?
2. What do you plan to have done before new years?
3. What do you plan to have done before spring?

2.  Need to swap out the power steering pump still...

Mike, Feb & March are the more realistic months most of this will happen, especially getting Shag on the road.    Must have unrealistic goals or I'll never get it done.

Pull engine...try to contain your laughter
Tear engine down, inspect, re-detail, determine if I need new heads.  Try to contain your laughter.
Re-detail engine bay.
Redo brake lines to look purtier.
Clean up some wiring.
Install engine.
See what comes next.  Try to contain your laughter.

March time frame.  Doing nothing but hunting for the rest of the year.

Finish roller perches
Finish BOSS 302 crossmember
Find/fix control arms
Paint the suspension (I hope that's a long way off, if I see a paint gun soon, I might have to commit hari-kiri :rofl )

If I get that far, I'm sure I can find other stuff to do. Can't get a whole lot done in the snow though :rofl

Probably over the Xmas break. My boss has grounded me from flying anywhere between Xmas and New Year's eve (cost cutting attempt). I'll have a week at home and it will be too cold to do anything else.

 1. Winter Projects = Put wood floors in MBR & GBR to get the wife off my A$$ so I can go for drives every weekend until summer without hearing about what I need to be doing around the house.
  2. Before X-mas = See above
  3. Before Spring = Put on as many miles as possible.  :pep
