I bit the bullet today and started ordering parts to change my tranny to a T56. I can't wait to see what it is like. I probably won't get around to doing the swap until October but I will have all the parts ready when I do start. ;D

Yeesh, have fun cramming that under the tunnel. That said, I always did like the feel of the T56 in my roommate's '97 T/A (may it rest in pieces).

Are you planning on cutting the trans tunnel? I'll be interested in seeing what you have to do to make a T56 fit in a vert.
Keep us posted.

I don't really want to. I have lowering motor mounts and an adjustable crossmember so I hope that will be enough. I may have to trim the floor brace but would be surprised/bummed if I had do more than hammer on the floor. I will see and will update on my progress once there is some.
