Brought the Mustang home yesterday
« on: July, 19, 2009, 08:53:47 AM »
Well, after weeks, and weeks of waiting I finally brought the Mustang home Sat morning. I still have quite a bit left to do, but its mostly minor stuff, finish out the trunk, mount the amp and battery box install the front and rear window trim, wipers, aim the headlights, mount MSD under the dash. I'm swapping the front KYBs for the Bilsteins I got from Street or Track, if I get ambitious I may tackle the rears as well. I noticed I have a rear axle seal leaking that will need to be fixed.

I took it to a local show last night as well. The car seemed to be very well received.  The show was from 7-11PM, I didnt wait around till the end, it was freakin hot. Kinda funny, people dug the color when the sun was out but once the sun set the car looks black. BTW- I was there first, the chebbies followed me....

I'll shoot some video later to add to the exhaust sound post.

Negative, I see two 63 Impalas and one 65-66 Impala with a bad MoFo fastback in the middle.   :dumas

I think he photoshoped his car into those Impalas.  :naug  No way a good looking Mustang would be in the MIDDLE of a pack of impalas.

Car is looking good////

Thanks Guys!

Yesterday was the FIRST time I ever drove the car, I rode in it when I was 12, then started it when I was 16, but never drove it, the freeze plug was cracked.... I did a lot of pretend driving in this car when I was a kid and it sat in my parents garage, it was also where my dad stashed his nudie girl mags!!!  :naug

Rick, your car looks great!  Good luck with the front/rear window trim; those things can be bears!   :taz  Do you have a gallery with other pics, like under the hood, etc?

Its green.... its a much brighter color in direct light/sun, in the shade it gets dark and looks black, very hard to photograph it.
