That is not the build date....it is on the door post sticker or in the blend number on the upper left corner of the window sticker if it has a blend number on it.

Door post says 8/10. sticker says 7090 blend

Last six of the blend number.....year, month, day...this car May 29, 08.

120080529 is the blend number.

Door sticker is usually within a day or so....blend number should be more exact.

Here's my window sticker. Look at the top left, see the 120100817? That's the build date, 8/17. Those numbers don't show up on the hard copy of the window sticker. I think yours might actually have been built later in the month.

They don't show up at all on my sticker on line. The date at the bottom is close to some build dates and way off on other build dates. The bottom info on mine is 10 18 10 and build date is June 25, 10 according to my GT/CS SVT info provided by Ford. The car door sticker say the day before that. From what I read, the door sticker is the closest....unless there is different tracking because the car is dealt with thru SVT.

Yours was built 8/24. Look just left of the blend number at the top. I believe the 08 17 10 is the date the window sticker went live. If you look at mine it says 08 03 10.

Also, at the very bottom right you'll see the numbers again 1201008247090 which decoded is build date 2010 08 24 blend number 7090.

Weird! And, like you said, your date by the bar code is well past your build date. It's usually 1-2 weeks before. Hmmm, interesting.
