Houston area StangFixer question?
« on: February, 02, 2012, 07:32:38 AM »
Anybody checked out "Performance Mustangs"?
I am in Conroe TX this week and drove past this place coming from Hobby, it's visible from I-45. Didn't have time to stop but it looks interesting.

Married to Tara, that makes me the TARA-fied one!

From my understanding it's one of those places that over charges for mustangs. That some of their classics they have, are really rust buckets all shined up to look good.  :gs I can't say for a fact though. Just what I've heard from folks here in my town of Bryan/College Station.

If popular opinion means anything, Kats statement sums it up from everything I've heard.
I've never heard anything good about the place and they are not involved with the car hobby in the Houston area.
They don't sponsor any clubs that I'm aware of or participate in any events.
That tells me that they feed off the enthusiasts, not value them.

Tempting! but I'm in the plant for a few more hours and have to be back in at 7 in the morning. But I will keep that in mind next time I come here. This is my second visit this year!
And thanks for the feedback, I was tempted to stop in on my way back to the airport but I will skip it.

There is nothing up this way "left of center". The last time someone drove through with an Obama sticker, they didn't make it past Wichita.

You see, the trick is being able to tell that something's going wrong and pulling into the trailer instead of waiting till it explodes. I've got the waiting till it explodes part down pat.

Next time you're that close To Houston you need to say hey! And perhaps some of us Houston folks can meet up with you?  Depending on your schedule of course.  I've passed Performance Mustangs a few times but never have stopped in, but feel it would be fun just to window shop!!  Even if they are rust buckets, it may be kind of fun just to pick out all the flaws and laugh and point!! :pbj

What Dne said!  :thu

Oh Dne, guess what? I talked to a guy that knows you. I called up Steves Mustang Parts in Waller (I'm headed out there Saturday if plans go right to get some wiring) and was talking to a guy, Stewart? I think was his name. He worked at Mustangs Mania? Anyway it came up with me being a girl working on my own car and I was like I'm not the only one, there's a lady down in Houston who does too! I told him about StangFix and he said he might try and check it out and say Hi to ya.
