Napa # NOS 18100 :)
What is your "plan of attack" for re-installing the pinion yoke? After setting up the gears backlash, the pinion nut is tightened to "X" amount. As this tightening process occurs, a "crush sleeve" is crushed... that can't be "crushed" again. Exactly what "X" amount is, is determined during the assembly of the rearend and meshing of the gears. Simply tightening the pinion nut "tight" again until it won't turn anymore could alter the depth of the pinion shaft and ultimately the contact pattern on the ring gear. It's a tricky affair, but since you've already removed the pinion nut and seal.... you've got a 50/50 chance of having everything work out when you re-install the nut. It'll either alter the gears contact pattern or it won't. It'll either whine/howl... or it won't.
