Almost all vintage Ford motors did not use an exhaust gasket as they left the factory.

What does paper and exhaust gases have in common - - - - NOTHING !

Neither are the best to use.

The best gasket I have ever used is the soft aluminum from Percy. I use them on headers and manifolds.

They are different exh. manif. vs. header gasket, the hole is larger and differently shaped for the header version. I ported my stock exh. manif. and bought the stock FelPro gaskets, the hole obstructed the flow of the additional porting.

After using these to fix an exhaust leak on my brothers antique boat motor I was sold. Bought a set for my motor and they are fantastic.
