I have those on my '67 notchback....SAC69 spoke of them on my car.  Depending on the look you're going for, I can see how it may not suit your build.  However, I liked them because they're lockable and ralatively flush mount and I believe the can be painted, although I'll have to check the instructions to be sure.  To each his/her own, for sure, from my experience, I'd recommend them.  Clean install and well engineered. 
Just have to remind myself that rattle-canned Street Machines are still "Cool"...definitely no high dollar build here.
