Tribute shirt
« on: December, 28, 2011, 11:59:57 AM »
I got my tribute to Sam shirt today( using Kat's artwork). I think it came out very good. I plan on wearing it over at the beach this weekend on New Years day in remembrance of Sam. I hope a lot of people ask me about it so I can tell them of Sam's service and sacrifice to his country.

It doesn't look like it ..but the colors (Sam's car and the flags) are very good. The flash kinda washed it out I guess.

As I'm not very 'puter savvy or have any knowledge of how wholesale ordering goes I went to a local Mom and Pops shirt and hat monogramming place to get it done. To say the least it was not a very cost effective way to have a one-off or more done but I didn't care I just knew I wanted one and it didn't look like anything would be coming together soon on a mass buy. I'm sure there are company's out there that a large order could be made and the cost could be cut way down, but as I said I don't have that knowledge.

Looking at cafe press, large and XL shirts with a pic like Craig's sig would cost about $15.00 before shipping to each person. 2XL and 3XL for you fat a$$es would be $3 more before mailing costs.

See, I always knew they were wrong about you. Thank you for volunteering.

Here's what I'd be willing to do:

Start a post for anyone interested in the shirt. Collect all money, place a large order for the shirts, receive said shirts, then mail out to payees.

At first check, it looks like $20-$25 would cover the shirt and shipping (provided it will fit in a $5 flat rate envelope or box. Add in an additional $10-$20 that I would send to whoever's closet to Sam's family as a SF donation.

Since I live so far from the Post Office, flat rate boxes are the best option. Any oversea shipping would be at an additional cost of course!

Ideas???

I'd also need the full size pic that Craig uses for his sig.

The boys recently used the link above to create themselves a custom Hunter Pence shirt...it was pretty reasonable buying just two shirts with both front and back graphics and I am sure they are cheaper if you buy in bulk.

You can design the shirt online and they will make it then ship it to you....

That background image doesn't belong to me.... so it can't be reproduced for profit.  It would have to be just Sam's car and the flags.

Kat, are you talking about the background with the rifle and helmet or the image of Sam, or both?
If it's just the background, maybe you and I can team up with our skills and punch something out......thoughts?

If Kat will help me out on this, we can definitely get something going. I will refuse any money for this but will ask that we get donations for his family. If I can get a general idea of how many shirts will be purchased, I can get with my buddy and see if I can get a better price point. Can't make a promise but I can check.
Kat, are u with me?
