very sad news
« on: December, 01, 2011, 11:26:55 AM »
We lost another member of our Mustang family on Monday of this week..I just got off the phone with Elise Tripp, Bob Tripp known as (deliah67)..Bob had a massive heart  attack on Monday and passed away. He was one of the first forum people I met in person many years ago..I will miss him greatly..My prayers are with his family. We lost a good man..

67Delilah was an OLD-timer on VMF... Probably 15 years of history.
He did join Stangfix last year, but never posted.

Sorry to hear this. Are we ALL getting old?  :shrug

Wow Vince, so saddened to read this. I remember Bob and Elise well, markedly from us closing down that little Italian place in Huntington after Knotts in the early years. Too many people leaving us before their time. My condolences to Elise and the family in this time of grief and loss.

Dare I ask how old was he?  I looked on the member list and can't find his name.  Nonetheless very sorry to hear of this for I distinctly remember him from another forum.

I'm sad to hear this news.  I had only met Bob a few times at Knotts.  I wish he could have participated in some MITMs.

Does someone have a pic of him?   I'd like to put in the TeeBone's original post.

Sorry to hear of the news.  I remember the name from the VMF days.

That Knott's pic must be approx 5 years old.

After looking at the obit pics, I remember him.

Here's a link to the obit:  http://obits.dignitymemorial.com/dignity-memorial/obituary.aspx?n=Robert-Tripp&lc=4912&pid=154830743&mid=4902513&locale=en_US

Take a look at the photos, there's one from Knotts with Vinny, Glenn, and Bob wearing his hat sideways.

From the pictures he looked like a pretty outgoing guy... Any idea if the SF Sergeant in the pic is a son?
