Can anyone I.D. the car in this pic?
« on: November, 28, 2011, 01:31:12 PM »
SWMBO is asking for help, because she's trying to date this photo of her great-grandmother. All she knows is it is a brand new vehicle. Anyone know the year, make, and model? Thanks.

'29 or '30 Model A.   Best bet is '30  according to my Ferrari boys next door.   Not a '31 which had lamps attached to the A pillar as per the Wikipedia link provided.

Thank you guys. I appreciate the quick response. No need for me to post on the HAMB after all.

I'm saying it's a '28.

Wish it was mine.

I'm with J. Looks like a 28 Standard Roadster.

Definitely 28 or 29. 30 and 31 have a completely different cowl shape at the bottom. The only difference between 28 and 29 is a bolt run vertically through the front bumper ends on the 29.
28-29

30-31

After resampling, resizing and desaturating it, I'm going with 29.
