Since she recently joined the local 24 hour Fitness Club, she's starting to wonder, why even bother coming home? I mean she's like a little school girl each time she reviews the calendar of what classes they are offering that week. So far she's takened:

Yoga
Body Pump (weight lifting to music)
Zumba dance
She emails me moments ago with a " So....tonight, should I take a Turbo kickboxing or swim aerobics class?

She also wants to take: Step class, Pilates class, High low Impact class (how to defend from the annoying husband).

Why, why oh why did I encourage her to do this? Look who's making dinner now. Look who doesn't have time to work on Mustangs anymore, let alone find the time for the weekly pedicure.

If you encourage her too much she will get in great shape and then leave you for the trainer. There is a fine line there. It is kind of like buying your wife a boob job. Will you be the one to enjoy it or will it be some other dude?

What aggravates me more is when she starts picking classes 'I' should take or that I should be doing Yoga with her, I remind her that I don't do yoga as I am married to a WOMAN.
As I am clearly in near SEAL condition (as those who have met me can tell obviously

) that I don't need an exercise class.

I used to think gym memberships were a waste of money. I guess I never realized the personal benefit a membership for the wife might bring me! Now to find a gym that is only open on Sundays and Monday nights...

Didn't mean to sidetrack your thread, glad she's excited about fitness. Just meant that it seems when our spouses get on a crusade we get signed up. Hope your pedicures don't suffer, you could get a hangnail.

My wife is a workout freak. She runs like 5 miles a day, lifts, cardio etc...
at first it kinda sucked because she was gone a bunch but i soon realized that (no disrespect Kat or any of the other ladies) women don't have the greatest self esteem. And it made her feel better about herself. The added benefit is that I get to look at her and shes going home with me

I wish mine would find a hobby so she would stop bothering me.

I liked life better when she was always gone due to working late.

That said, most people start a fitness program and they tend to be fanatical about it at first then slow down over time.

Of course, I was at "Extreme fitness" at 5:25 a.m. this morning so not like I can talk.
