Writing a press release?
« on: September, 29, 2011, 10:11:42 AM »
Anyone have any hints, tips for writing a press release? I need to write one for the car lot that can be printed and I've never written anything like before.  :shrug

.......just make sure you spell out the words you want people to read.......you have made a couple of questionable statements lately......lol

Consider the time limit you have for it being read.

List the points you want to include like location, hours, type cars, finance......

Expand each point to get the info out that you want the public to hear.

Blend it all together so it flows

Re read and double check for spelling and word usage.

Try to grab the readers attention as early as possible.  You want people to continue reading, so the sooner they are interested, the more likely they will be to finish the article.

Expand each point to get the info out that you want the public to hear.  For example that the female help at the lot works topless

Fixed it for you Pete
