As far as the ride, the 71-73 simply has them all beat and the Boss 351 is king of the quarter mile (stock). My vote went to the 67-8's though as they are my favorate years.
I agree, I had a 73 and it was a nice car. I would love to have a 71 429 SCJ 4 speed Mach 1! I still voted for the 67/68's. I understand the official "generation" thing and I think the pole makes since the early cars changed a lot for 65/66, 67/68 and 69/70.
As the original Craig says, I like red Coupes as well but make mine a 67! (my engine is a 70, does that count?)

Married to Tara, that makes me the TARA-fied one!

Having had a boss 351 back in the day, it was an awesome car!  I Jones for it all the time!  I would settle for any old 71 FB any day!

This is not to say I don't like my 67 coupe or my 65 fb, because I do.  I kind of need to get the coupe out for a drive...hmmmm....

:confu Even tho the poll is really the 1st gen of Mustangs of the 64.5-73 with body style changes.
Looking at it shows the amount of Mustangs manufactured for each of those years are closely matched by the amount of
cars still out there on the road.  :steer

But the 70 Fastback is the King! :yah
If its already broken...I can't hurt it!

I won't vote because somebody will get left out and I don't want to deal with the consequences of jealous Mustangs. Options 1 & 2 are tied in my garage.
So here is my current classics:
1 - 1964.5 coupe
1 - 1965 covertible
1 - 1966 coupe
1 - 1966 convertible
1 - 1967 coupe
2 - 1967 Fastbacks
1 - 1968 convertible
1 - 1970 Boss
