There is some stuff though I won't need. He has new front suspension stuff which I already got. Oh and he has front bucket seats, new foam and black pony interior. I told him I only need rear seat foam and upholstery... so he wanted me to pass it along that for I think he said $400 he'd do a package deal for front bucket seats, new foam for them, and new front pony upholstery. Incase anyone wants/needs that stuff.

I could stand new front upholstery but I can get the one seat worth that I need for less than that.

Hmmm the MC that came with this kit is just a single. Not a dual.  I guess I can replace it with a dual MC suitable for power disc/drum?

Problem is, that booster you have cannot work with a dual, and still fit between the firewall and the shock tower.

Those boosters with that GIANT bracket don't work with duals.  There are boosters that will fit, though.

Yeah I was looking at pictures of 66's with boosters and dual MCs and the boostesr all look smaller and sit closer to the firewall than this one I picked up yesterday.

So I'm either going to have to get a different booster and dual MC or keep this booster and use the single MC.  :shrug

I opted out of the booster.

Just converted my front brakes to disc with a dual master.

Stops on a dime....

I can give back the booster and MC and only buy the rest of the kit from him. Not too worried about that. I haven't paid him anything yet. We're doing all this on a payment plan.  I think we agreed on $500 for this disc brake kit. Not a bad deal.

I was just want to put everything back together and get Gert on the road before Oct 8th. *sigh*

One thing Kat.....many have found that if they have a firm completion date set, things will get done using short cuts or eliminated completely only to have to go back and redo the same work again. Make sure you do things the way you want them to be for a long time......

There's the issue Pete mentioned but I never really sent hard / fast completion dates.  Makes it seem more like stress / work and less like fun.

If I wanted deadlines I'd come to work instead of working on the car  :roll

The only reason for Oct 8th as a deadline is because that is my car clubs annual car show. Would be kinda boring if Im the only member there without a car in the show. I have no expectations on her looking good or having interior by then. Just back on the road like she was before I took her apart... ugly with no interior. lol

There is no reason you can't make that date.  Just get out there and work on it.  Make a check list of taks you want to accomplish each time.  That's what I do.  Helps keep me focused.

just another plug for non-PB, I don't have a booster and while it does require more pedal pressure the brakes themselves work just as good.
As far as setting dates or targets, I understand that too. Shoot for the date but if you don't hit it, it won't be the end of the world. And I like what Pete says but also consider that doing somethings twice might be a necessity. For example, I'd love to have OD or a 5 speed but I didn't wait to put the car together for one. I went ahead and had the C6 rebuilt and I'm using it. I will eventually get around to swapping in a better trans, I've only been at it 21 years after all!

Married to Tara, that makes me the TARA-fied one!

I have a new boaster and duel MC for a 65/66 that I'm not going to use if you are interested. Don't recall the brand but I believe the MC is for a bowtie.
