fan on/off question?
« on: July, 12, 2011, 04:57:28 PM »
I use a programmable fan control for a 2 speed electric Tarus fan.  I see posts where people think 210 deg. is too hot for a 1990 5.0 HO in my '66.  I have the first speed at on/190 off/180 and the second speed on/210 off/195.  Is the 210 too hot or do I need to lower the top #'s ?  thanks, Gary

I would have it on at 200-205...by the time the fan comes on and cools the fluid, the actual temp may climb some above 210 if set at 210.

That sounds like a good plan Pete.

For some reason, 210 has always bothered me even though the newer cars run there all the time.....
