Longtime coming, the green bomb is green again!
« on: June, 01, 2011, 05:36:52 PM »
Well it's been almost two years since my car decided to mate with a large Buick and life has thrown me a few curves pushing the Mustang to the back burner.  But today was a huge day, the green bomb is green again!

Crappy cell phone pictures and the sun was too bright, but phukin eh she's beautiful :yah.

Ghost Super Snake Stripe

Jake approves of what I'm doing to "his" car :thu.

Tough to see as the sun was so bright but the stripe goes from valance to valance.

Deleted the wheel lip, rocker, and body relief moldings. Nice and clean.

I am so freaking excited, it is turning out better than I hoped. What to you guys think?

Congrats on getting it back together, I had wondered several times how it was coming along and what had happened to you.  Glad to see you around again don't be such a stranger now.

It sure has been a bit of time that it's been in the shop, but it is looking good.
Any time frame on having it finished up?

Wow it has been 2 years since you did the "bodywork" to it.  :roll I do not remember the Shelby hood on it, thought that you had a TS hood. But there is nothing wrong with a good 'ol Shelby hood on a fastback Mustang. I am somewhat biased, but that is my favorite hood with a scoop. Every time I see a UTI commercial I think of you, that is you are still with them?

Yea, it had the TS hood on it. I have always wanted to put the '67 Shelby hood on the car. This gave me the perfect excuse. The body shop owner really tried to talk me into making it a full Shelby clone, but I think the stock lines are perfect.

I was going to go with white stripes but decided to go this route. It was a tough decision but I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

Looks great.  And I love the stripe.  Ghost stripes are great if you don't want to make such a bold statement.  I think they're classy.

I really loved the look of your car "before" and was one who wanted you to go with the white stripes again but...that does look good!
