So yesterday I banged up my truck in an accident coming home from work....today....I am running errands in my 68....cruising along at 65-70 when......

AHHHHHHH

Mouse....runs up my damn leg

Biggest freaking field mouse I have ever seen....jumped off my lap landed in the passenger seat scurried down to the floor and sat up at the top of the passenger floor mat for 2-3 minutes looking scared to death and staring me down at the same time, then turned around a jumped up into the dash

He feel out 3-4 more times when I hit bumps and then opted to run towards the rear of the car where I could no longer observe him and continue to drive. I pulled over in a parking lot and left the doors open for a few moments but I have my doubts he exited.

A couple traps will go in tonight and then some fresh dryer sheets after I catch 'em.

The silver lining is I was able to keep my cool and didn't have an accident over the whole ordeal.

I know it's wrong but I can't stop laughing. Glad you didn't panic and wreck the car.

Ahhh...you found my business card! Since mice love to eat electrical wires, it will only be a short amount of time when I'll have another harness from Sun Rise in my shop!

Get a 5 gallon bucket and smear peanut butter around the inner rim. Fill the bucket about 1/4 of the way up with anti freeze (I use the non toxic RV stuff). Put the bucket where you want it and then lean a stick from the floor to the top of the bucket. You're done.

The mice will climb up the stick to get to the peanut butter and fall in the bucket. With the steep smooth sides and the slick antifreeze the mice are trapped. The antifreeze keeps the mice from rotting all winter hence no smell. I use this at my summer place and it works like a charm. I just opened up for the summer season and there were 15 mice in the bucket and no mice damage at all. Just go off into woods and dump the bucket (this why I use the nontoxic antifreeze), hose the bucket out and you're done.

For all i know....he might have come with the car...it already had electrical gremlins....tach doesn't work, radio doesn't work, the MSD box went bad for no reasons ;)

I am ready. The care smells like lavender and the trap is set....I wonder which one will win out....driven away from the dryer sheet....or lust after the Extra Crispy Peanut Buttered up trap.
