The Boss comes alive
« on: April, 27, 2011, 03:20:25 PM »
After 4 years of hibernation, the Boss 302 comes alive.  Because I did not trust what was in the gas tank nor hard line, I went from my 5 gallon gas can to fuel pump to carb.   Had one of the Ferrari boys come over to hold my hand during this historic event.  Though I have a long ways to tune this pup to standards at least it didn't take too much effort to wake the bad boy up.  Enjoy the videos, I'm going out to spark up up a fatty!.

Went over to Cmayna's shop to visit and try and help track down a weird sound the BOSS was making.

We found the problem and handled the beyond easy fix.

While we were at it we figured, might as well do a little on it. I don't care if all we did was remove the bolts to the shock tower brace, I am claiming I have worked on a real Boss 302. LoL!

Here is a shot of Craig working the Boss in his position of choice.

Always a pleasure hanging out Craig.

If you ate as much garlic as I do.............Buurrrpppppp.

The noise was when in neutral you were able to push or pull the car but heard this clicking sound which came from what we deemed as the transmission.

Then while I had Abe there, it dawned on me to wiggle the stick shift a little.  Suddenly, the noise went away.  So it's something in the shifter / tranny relationship.

All is good.
