I got most of the glass in (everything except the doors which I do last...) - the stainless was in very rough shape but worked out well and buffed nicely - better than I expected!

I got the steering wheel back from the Rimblow Buddy - I think it turned out great - and it certainly makes a big visual difference compared to the temporary standard wheel I had in before.

There is a lot of work left, and some of the things currently installed (shifter, seat, etc) are incorrect for the car and are just there so I can drive it and enjoy the car a bit instead of just working on it.

Next on my list: the rear interior quarter panels and trap door surround - then the fold down seat.

looks great !!! Have you driven it at all in it's current state? I would think just the thumbs up from folks on the street would help you stay motivated too. Do you have more pics?

Thanks all!

It is good to drive the car every couple weeks and I do get lots and lots of comments when I do - people roll down their windows at stop lights and always talk to me at the gas station...

So why do I need more motivation? Because it seems that nobody knows the amount of effort involved! Those freakin' stainless trim pieces took me weeks! I've spent the last two days repairing the interior fiberglass of the rear quarters, and I expect to have two more days into them. It seems like at this point I am averaging about 4 days of reconditioning for every 30 minutes of reassembly.

Just wanted to share with those that can understand this madness!

oops ... hit the post button too soo... was going to say that I definitely felt the same way at times... I did the stainless over the winter in my basement when the garage was too cold to work in. One of my interior fiberglass pieces has a small nick in it that I didn't take care of while it was an easy repair and now will take a little more effort since it's rivited in. you are definitely doing the right thing by taking your time. Just by the pics it's easy to tell the attention to detail.... that stuff doesn't come easy. Keep up the good work.
