So, it cost $54,000 new, now for $70,000. Wonder what the 11 years of storage cost.... I figure $13,200 just for the normal non climate unit. Looks like it will pay off big for him......hmmmmmm. Still not sure I would want to buy one that has not been moved but it is a museum piece.

I guess a buddies dad fell into category 3.  He would take his to VIR along with his fully race ready SVO.  That guy spent insane amounts of money on his toys.  Back in hs he had a 69 mach 1, 66 vert, and '69 or '70 (ICR) Mach 1 with a 428 SCJ.  First time I ever spent track time with 'em he was blistering the 428 SCJ around CMS.  He's had quite a few over the years and never kept a "trailer queen".  I never could get my mind to grasp spending the money he did and running the dogsnot out of those cars.  I don't know what was the coolest part about hanging out with those guys over the years...being around the cars they had or not having to worry about the repair costs at the end of the day.

knew a guy in Phoenix back in '03 that had one and installed a blower on it. insanely fast, and he showed it no mercy. couldn't get passed for inspection in AZ, so had it registered in Oregon.

I feel sorry for that car because it will never see the open road .
Cars are made to be DRIVEN !
Wonder how many things doesn't work anymore on that car .  Brakes , injection system , suspension ect.

The ebay add says it was started on a regular basis.......It is probably cost prohibitive to make it run good after the purchase price too.....and be original.

Agree it's functional, just can't stand the looks of it.
