What is that hood and valance?? I've been looking for a bumperless apron for a 67.

That top pic is definitely not a "E" nose.

the hood is just a 67 Shelby scoop on a stock hood, the nose is from Cobra Automotive, and to the OP, yes it would look cool!!! Coupes are cool!!!

I like them on any year, coup or FB. Some states require a front bumper so the ones without the bumper are not always street legal. With that said, they are not legal in Calif. but I've had one for the past many years and have had no issue. I haven't got pulled over for any other reason either.

Craig, I think I was looking at one of those hoods at Mustangs Plus in Sacto, CA...  They make it fiberglass or carbon fiber...Try this link...http://www.mustangsplus.com/xcart/1967-1968-Shelby-Style-Hood-with-Full-Steel-Frame.html

I like the one they make for the 65-66 with that same scoop.

If that pic is a metal hood then I think you are correct though.  I do think it is a fiberglass hood.

It might be a glass hood Mel, I was just guessing steel because it has the trim on the front and a lot of the glass hoods don't have a way to attach the trim. Either way it is a standard length Mustang hood rather than the Shelby hood but has a Shelby style scoop. I think the combo looks great. I like John's too with the bumper. For a long time you couldn't find a nose for the 67/68's without a bumper but the 65/66's have had the Shelby "R" nose. That's why I like the Eleanor front so much, it reminds me of a 65/66 Shelby R and I would give my right test-tickle for one!

Steve (SellersRodShop) was nice enough to cut mine out and weld in the surround, here it is when I was test fitting my driving lights. I removed the lights as they'll block too much of the trans cooler, I plan to move them to the outer edges of the grill.

Here's a few of backside, etc. it's similar to Janschutz with the bumper still on but I removed the hood brace. This was a metal $30 repop.

i decided to save some bucks and made my own....those 'glas ones are $160+...
i cut the opening, hand bent a scoop and pop-riveted it in.  i dig it.  if i change my mind, a new metal apron is under $30
although, now that i see the r-model sans bumper....i kinda dig that look, too.
Just have to remind myself that rattle-canned Street Machines are still "Cool"...definitely no high dollar build here.
