Any of you guys heard of this stuff? http://www.polyscts.com/

I stumbled on it last night looking around at auto detailing sites. Just wonder if anyone has used it as a car wash? I don't care how good they say it is I'm not going to wipe down a dirty car with it but if it works as well as some of the videos I found clame it might be a excellent car wash.

I've never tried anything along those lines.

I have a buddy in the local car club though that uses some sort of dry wash and swears his '67 GTO hasn't seen a drop of water since the mid 90's. He claims he never washes it with soap / water and never drives it in the rain.

On a daily driven car I won't use a quick detailer of any kind.. Your just asking for swirl and micro scratches in the paint. But apparently this stuff is slick as snot in a car wash solution so I'd be interested to see how it worked in that capacity.

There's a guy in SLC using it on planes. He washes them and details them for people. He also uses it on his DD and man is it a sweet looking factory paint job. It is a black Benz.

I would use it on a DD if you,

1 - used a duster and made sure the car was pretty clean first.
2 - only clean in the direction of the body lines, never in circles! Resist wax on wax off type of movements.

Well I found a guy out in California that is a Microfiber Towel dealer, He runs a small detail business and also sells the Polly's as well as the other brand of No Rinse caled Optimum. I called the guy and ask for the scoop on the product and which one he thought was better. He said he used the Optimum for quite some time in his detail business do to water restrictions. After being introduced to the Poly's He said he has now completly switched over, he said both are good but the polys is alot beter and used with distilled water it is easy to use in full sunlight without water spots. Here is a link to a video he did that shows the use and a bit of explination on its use with a "Auto detail Caddy" set up. He said for personal use just use a pump up bug sprayer or hand held spray bottle. Do the wheels and tires the same way just do them last. I ordered a bottle of the stuff so I can give the full scoop on how good it is in a week or so.

I'm not so much interested in the water saving aspect of the product as I am the micro scratch prevention and being able to use it in the Hot ass Texas sun without water spots.
