Don't know how many of you get "Discovery Hi-Def Theater" but tomorrow morning at 11:00am (on the east coast)  GT Racer features a 7 day race through Mexico.  Saw it last year (rerun)  Lots of vintage Mustangs, Falcons and others.  Great episode!  kip

Sweet, I am definitely going to check that out.

One of my many dreams once Fred is all done and my son is 16 or 17, is to take a trip down there and participate in the carrera panamericana through Mexico. It's basically a cruise through Mexico with some stretches of road closed off by the government for timed portions which then determines the winner. Stefan is half Mexican and half Italian, so it would be a pretty cool way to see where half of his ancestry comes from, the people, the food, and the beautiful country side.

I believe the rule is that the vehicle being raced had to have been manufactured before 1966.

              MEET FRED!

I think your right about it being the carrera panamericana.  Beautiful country and the architecture of some of the old buildings is fantastic!  Would be an awesome trip for you and your son!  Better get busy on those rockers Abe!  kip
