Accelerator Pedal Spring Help!
« on: January, 20, 2009, 01:04:57 PM »
I have run into some type of American made Chinese torture when it comes to replacing the spring for my accelerator pedal. ~???

The problem is I have never seen one installed so I have ZERO clue on where and how the spring sits on the bolt and pedal. Any type of picture and/or diagram (or Beer) would help me out tremendously.

Do I install the spring first then the bolt or the other way around?

I would just leave the pedal loose but it just bothers me too much

I really could benefit if someone had a picture  :jam
Thanks ahead of time guys!

I think the shop manual has a picture, I'll check when I get home and add a picture if its there.

This one http://www.dallasmustang.com/mustang-parts/product/SHOP-MANUAL-1968/6904 They are not cheap, about $45, but well worth the cost, very detailed drawings 10X better than a chilton manual. IIRC, NPD has them on disk
