1965 Door Frame, not much rust, but...
« on: November, 10, 2010, 04:43:18 PM »

The latch and handle areas are broken. The door has very little rust as far as doors from the North east go, one small hole in the lower front corner.

For the handle, and the rust hole, and past collision damage, i was going to re skin it, but then I noticed around the damage around the door latch.

I thought there was a patch panel for that area avail, but when I checked the usual suspects, I couldn't find it?

Has it gone away since whole doors are available?

Should I be wasting time saving this door when repros are avail?

Thoughts appreciated..

Here's a tutorial I did some time ago patching those cracks around the latch holes:

Wow, neat fix and great write up! I may have to give it a try.
