Installed new springs
« on: November, 06, 2010, 11:33:40 PM »
With the great help of Craig and his facilities we installed some new front springs on my '67.

Of course for years I have been harrassed about the stance of my front end on the '67 so I finally made the change. It came down a 1 1/2"

New:

Craig took a pic of the OLD full view....which I don't have.

Stance looks great. Did you use lowering springs or cut the coils?

Here's my before and after pics.  Yes we finally replaced those freakin progressive coils with some 620 series.  A dramatic change and now Mikey can see the road in front of the car  LOL.

Just to get him to install new coils was a major milestone.   Cutting the coils during same day would have been too much for the old fart's heart so none were cut. Now, if it was MY car, the chopper would have been exercised same day.  But not wanting to push the limits,  I said "just enjoy the ride and we'll chop maybe a quarter coil off next winter".   Chop!  Chop!

What cha lookin at?

Baby steps. I can be pretty resistant to change too, so I can't be too hard on him.

But it does look a lot better  :thu

She does look sweet, I'm thinking you may have nailed it.   A very different perspective would be this edit that I had mentioned via pm.
This would be the Bagged set-up.................
