351c water line fitting?
« on: July, 03, 2010, 07:51:40 AM »
Mine was pretty crusty and I had to remove it in pieces (that took some expertise) So what do most of you replace those with? Copper tube with beaded end? Does anyone sell a stainless tube fitting for that? I think its 5/8" dia?

After you clean the remnants of the rotted insert/tube out of the block, your local auto parts store should have replacement tubes in stock.  I bought one at Autozone when I did my Cleveland.  It just "taps" into the block with hammer/block of wood if I remember correctly.

Thanks Dave - I have some 5/8 copper tube that I can bead and install. Thought it would be kickin' to have a stainless tube in there
