mounting hole for B/U switch
« on: June, 13, 2010, 02:10:58 PM »
Any of you gurus out there ever have to create a new mounting hole on your manual shifter because your new switch doesn't line up with the original mounting hole? I figured no big deal, lay it out, drill it,tap it for a 1/4 -20 and should be good to go. Yeh right. Titanium bit, low speed, a little oil..... barely even discolors it. What kind of metal is this?  Any hints or insight?

Thanks
Jeff
