I don't have enough room to move around the fuel pump to put the new fuel pump on, so what should I do? Its a 351 Cleveland so the bolt is on top and the stud is on bottom. What should I do to make room?

What is stopping it from going on? Turning the engine over a bit by hand will reposition the piece the rod rides on and may help. If it is hitting something on the outside frame, you may have to move the engine a bit.

What's in the way? Power steering? A/C? IME, I just move things around (IOW, loosen brackets and move out of the way) and, if necessary, pop the mounts loose and pick the engine up a bit as appropriate. Haven't done a 335 series in awhile but don't recall any issues. I assume you have the necessary tools for reaching the fasteners.

The power steering pump is in the way. I can't fit my hand around it to get the bolt started.

Put some paper towel in the socket so the bolt will not slide all the way into it, use some tape to hold the bolt into the socket, and gently guide the bolt in using the socket and extension.

I use mechanic magnets stuck inside the socket to retain bolts for starting; TP/paper towel, etc is a QD alternative. IME, with the 12/6 arrangement on the 335, the fuel pump itself is an obstacle. I'd just loosen the PS pump and move it away. Takes practically zero time.

So just loosen the bracket down at the bottom and push it away?

You should be able to loosen the adjustment bracket bolt, remove the belt and swing the pump up, removing the lower bracket as applicable. Or, with the belt off, remove both mounting bolts and rest the pump off to the side on its hoses down low. Whichever works best for you. I usually work from below.

Get rid of the power steering crap and you'll have lots of room. I had originally planned to put PS in Shag but I'm going to try manual for a while first.
