Pertronix gap setting????
« on: May, 01, 2010, 11:10:49 AM »
Just checked my dwell and it is running at 24deg. My book says 29deg. Anyone know the gap setting for the Pertronix Electronic Ignition? Mine is now set at .021in. I can just start moving it in and out to get the setting, just wondering what is correct. And no I can not find my original install book. Pertronix site did not give me the setting either.

Thanks

The piece of plastic they send with a petronix is .03 and that is what they recommend setting the gap at.

I believe we set mine at about .028 though.

Correct.  I always ran all mine at .030, back when I had the Pertronix in some of the cars.
