Lets talk Fuel Tanks again!

I think the fuel ferries are stealing my gas. Between driving around town, idling in my driveway, and visiting with a few friends today, i went through an entire tank of gas. One of the things on my list to upgrade are the tank to the 22 gallon 70 unit.
Question are:
1. Is the stainless tank really worth th $200 and some change upgrade charge?
2. Is there anything needed electrically to swap out the sending units?
3. I assume the '70 sending unit uses the same gauge ohms as the '67. So my Autometer gauge should have no problems?
4. besides the things listed below, is there anything else i need to consider in order to have everything to complete the swap?
Lets talk Fuel Tanks again!
FUEL TANK KIT 22 GALLON W/ DRAIN PLUG
Fuel Tank Kit with Drain Plug, 22 Gallon for 1970 Mustang and Cougar.
Need to replace your fuel tank? Save money & buy the kit instead of purchasing all these item seperately. This fuel tank kit has everything you need to replace your fuel tank. Kit includes a 22 gallon fuel tank with drain plug, fuel sender with retainer, and a filler neck hose with the filler neck gasket.
Lets talk Fuel Tanks again!
FUEL TANK FILLER PIPE 70 MUSTANG
Fuel Tank Filler Pipe for 1970 Mustang.
The filler pipe attaches to the taillight panel by screws and runs down to the filler pipe hose which connects it to the fuel tank. The filler neck pipe is what the fuel filler cap installs onto. For the attaching screws, gasket, filler pipe hose and more, see Related Parts below.
This filler neck can be used with 1970 fuel tank #70002 to allow additional fuel capacity on 1965-1968 Mustangs.
Thanks!

I bought the Canadian made 22 gal stainless tank. I think it was worth the extra expense. It's well made, and it has a drain plug.
I have an Autometer fuel gauge, too, and it reads fine with my tank.
Install notes...
First, I used a large O.D. pipe to bend the fuel tank inlet a few degrees towards the tail light panel. Then, I shortened and angle cut the tank filler pipe end to better match the angle of the fuel tank inlet. Other than that, it's clean swap.
I can't think of anything else to order; you seem to have it covered. Good luck with the swap, and post some pics.

Thanks Mike, Did you use the stock filler neck? I was going to replace mine since it has signs of corrosion. Mustangs unlimited claims the 70 neck will work. Im just curious if you had to modify that one?

Yes, I used the filler neck from my stock 67 16 gal tank. Maybe you won't have to "adjust" the 70 filler neck, but looking at the pic you attached, it does look kinda long. It's not a difficult modification.
Just make sure you measure twice and cut once.

I'm thinking about doing this mod too. Both 22 gal and stainless. 22 gal for extra distance, stainless because I don't want to have any issues with the tank. Everything else I bought, fuel and brake lines, etc, that I had the option of buying stainless I did. I'll be watching to see what else comes up with this topic.
