This bracket actually holds the rear part of the sub-frame connectors. A bolt goes through the bracket into the spring mount. The upper link for the rear end is attached with this bolt. As for welding the plate in, I will have to think about that, having it bolt in allows for all the pieces to fit together and then get tightened up. If it is welded in, I may have a lot of fun getting the back side of the sub-frame connector lined up.
I did talk with the TCI techs today, and as expected I am the oddball. Of all the kits they have sold, this is the first time they have ran into this issue. One possible solution is to notch the rib, weld in a flat piece and then bolt the bar where it belongs.
