Ford upgraded my engine order for free!

A few weeks ago I ordered one of the 306 Ford motors.  It is a factory rebuild with aluminum heads, roller cam, 340 hp, etc.  It was supposed to ship on Feb 28th.  Well, today I got a call from Ford Racing saying the 306 will be delayed and they would like to offer me the brand new 302 crate motor for no additional money.  This is basically the same motor as the 306 except it has forged pistons, rods, and crankshaft, and is hot tested before being shipped.  The rebuilt 306 was $3295 and the new 302 retails at $5295.  Sounds good to me.  I told them heck yeah, send it.  I should get it next Friday.

You should have told them to wait an additional two weeks and wrap a 2010 Mustang around it for your trouble. :lol :vic
