I have a 66 mustang 8 inch rear axle housing available to me ,can i use that in a 67 ?

I believe it will be 2" narrower than the '67 housing. It would be good depending on what backspacing you want on your wheels. Not sure but I think the mounts are located the same.

Yep, Pete's right.  I have a 67 rear axle in my 66...pushed my tires out 1 inch on each side.   Which is fine, because I'm using wheels that normally require 1" adapters on each side.

That is good to know.  I want to get a different chunk in the 67, maybe I'll get the 66 and then bury some wider meat under it.....Hum....
