Re-restoration in progress for some vintage racing

What's really funny about that clip, is that the chasing driver was SOOOO fixated on the Saleen, he almost drove off the track as well.
I saw that too, I think I would be guilty of that (following the line of the car in front).

Been feeling good the last couple of days and got most everything finished up. Lit the fuse this afternoon. Not much is better than that new engine smell and 110 leaded race fuel!

Hopefully I can finish up the alignment this weekend and drive it. Get'n real close T E R R Y!

sounds great! It brings a tear to my eye thinking about the short life span that poor engine will have when you get behind the wheel!

Glad to hear you are feeling well enough to wrench!!!!

Was that motor really running, could've been a soundtrack. Never saw it running. ;))

Sounds good Mark your going to have a blast driving that around the neighborhood when you get the frontend aligned.

Back from a vacation for Deb, did some work to the front grille. Never cared for the horse & corral, so I got rid of it. Re-worked the original grille, cleaned and added a fresh coat of paint. Much cleaner up front and no more air blockage to the radiator.

Looks awesome!

I like the horse, but on a car like yours, I say you did the right thing.

Maybe a cobra emblem on one side of the grille!

Where's your Pride man ? At least put a tri-bar pony on the side or something. Without the pony it's just another old, slow baby blue car.

Fixed it for you.

Started working on the rear brakes today. Had to do a little modding to get some parts to work since my car is a frankenstang. It was actually fun and mentally challenging. Something that I really need to counteract the chemo effects. Got the backplates drilled so cool air can get in and brake dust can get out. Hopefully it works and I don't need to fab up some rear cooling ducts.

Just waiting on the R4 shoes to arrive and I can finish this job up.
