I bought a (new) used F250 this week

Ive been wanting another truck for years ever since I sold my 2000 F350 to move to Georgia in 2007. I found a 2013 RWD SuperCab with 15k miles. Its a special order truck, Im the second owner. It has the 6.2L V8, XLT Premium package and . . . get this . . . 4.30:1 gears. Im glad it has a six speed transmission otherwise I will have two vehicles that get lousy gas mileage. Pics soon.

Cool deal Mark! Glad to hear you were able to finally get a deal together on one. I had hoped to finally get a new one last year or year before (though I'm wanting an F150). I've had my 2001 since 2005 (a one prior owner like yours). Since Ford went to the aluminum body it'll be a few more years now before I'm interested. When I got mine it had the factory towing package which included a 3.55 rear. I was REALLY afraid of crappy gas mileage. With the O/D tranny I ended up get right at 22mpg. For a 1/2 ton 4.6L V-8 I've been happy with that. Damn thing gets better gas mileage than the '86 5.0L GT I bought new!!

Good deal Mark. I just bought a 2016 f150 4x4 to replace my 2003 ranger. It came with a 5.0 and 331 gears. I took it to myrtle beach last week and it handled great through west Virginia and Virginia winding highways.

We've had a 2003 F250 SD Crew Cab with the 6.0L Turbodiesel in it - bought it new. Wife's truck. She's 5'2" and loves driving it. She says she loves pulling up behind someone and they look in the rear view mirror and see 'nothing but grill'.

The vehicle has been very reliable except the variable vane turbo got clogged a few years back - I fixed it and told my wife she needs to take it out on the freeway and floor it from time to time - of course, she accepted!

I put a Magnaflow Turbo back exhaust on it and had to re-install the Cat - Kalifornia now required smog checks on diesels. Doh!

Washed 'Jean' today for his first pics, just like I remember. Similar to washing a house.

Sweet truck.

I'm actually waiting for this fall then ordering a 2017 F250.
