considering slamming a new 331 shortblock in my 65 Mustang. I overheated my tired 302 n have a brand new set of Edelbrock RPM heads with Lunati roller rockers.

Considering Coast Engine. Any other recommendations?

I have a few friends use them and been very happy with there work. Talk to Vince Jr, he deals with high performance applications. His dad deals with just stock rebuilds. The only thing is that they are busy. Very honest and reasonable. When I build another motor I'm going to use them.

I would make sure that whatever shop/place you go to does all the work themselves in house. You'd be surprised how many operations farm out machine work. I'd also only deal with someone who is a SBF specialist. Especially when going stroker. Coast sells a lot of kits it seems. While to some that may sound comforting to others it may smell of mass production and not attention to fine detail. I have no personal experience with them having said that though. I would recommend talking to as many people as you can to get firsthand input before making a decision. If you're not in a hurry, Fordstrokers is always a great choice but he is also always booked and it can take a while.

How much you wanna spend? Are you going to take it to the track?
Spend does not matter and take it to that track, Duh, of course!

I contacted the Company David recommended and he's got a line aon a complete 331 stroker that a guy pulled out that wanted more HP. Details forthcoming......

Quote in hand. They will transfer the Shelby t oil pan, girdle, Edelbrock heads and other goodies from my existing engine. Likely going to pull the engine this coming weekend.

Started accumulating parts. Have on hand: center force stage 2 clutch, tail shaft seal, throw out bearing, front seal (all for 28 spline top loader). Alum driveshaft arrives tomorrow. Likely pull the engine on Memorial Day weekend.

I bought my 408W short block kit from FordStrokers and highly recommend them.
