Spectra Premium NEW distributor - Anyone Used One?

I see that Spectra Premium offers 100% NEW distributors for a number of Ford V8 engines.

They offer an new distributor option for two different project engines I have going (one Cleveland and one Windsor) and I was wondering if anyone here has ever used one of their distributors and what was the overall assessment?

Thanks!

I bought a distributor for my P motor from Autozone. The application is for a 85, 5.0 with a 4V. It's a brand new unit. I don't know who manufactures it, looks just like the ones Petronix and Spectra sell. I don't know if it is a Spectra but it looks to be a pretty decent unit. Came with 2 caps, a vintage style with brass terminals and a late model 2 piece with aluminum terminals. Cost was $60. Yes, it has a Melonized gear which will work on flat tappet, SADI or 5150 billet roller cam. Haven't installed it yet but so far looks promising.

Tom,

Thanks very much for the reply and pics. Based on looks alone, that looks like a pretty nice piece. Seems like just the ticket for anyone (like myself) who wants a good distributor and isn't worried about originality. Might just have to pull the trigger!

Hey, no problem. Glad to help! So far, like I said I'm pretty impressed with it especially for $60. Looks very much like a stock distributor.
