East coast flooding

So far so good here. We received the bulk of the rain (I guess I'm supposed to be Bueller...Randy?!), and then it moved inland to the NW. High tides have really added to our flooding. The ride into work this morning was interesting. Water across some open roads and several detours around completely closed roads. Several roads had washouts and a bunch of cars have been stranded. One county and one city have imposed curfews tonight. As long as we don't get anymore heavy stuff like yesterday it'll be fine. Thanks for asking Pat!

Pretty rough here in Myrtle Beach too John. Swift water rescues, roads collapsing and flooding galore. Thank God I haven't sustained any damage yet. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Last weekend may have been the date for the Myrtle Beach Blast, but was cancelled. Thank you, Ron, for your wisdom and forethought.

I certainly wasn't trying minimize the Beach got Ron. When I replied the word hadn't gotten out about MB yet. Glad to hear y'all are okay. We got it the day before it hit y'all. I talked to my realtor today (she lives in MB), and she was telling me how the severity was spread with some spots experiencing little few problems while others had some pretty good flooding. It was the same way here. We also had some roads wash out, deep flooding in some areas, a few swift water rescues as well as one person being hoisted from their roof by the Coast Guard helicopter. None it was wide spread though, thank goodness. I think the entire coastline has still had it better than what the upper part of the state is now experiencing. Gypsy is located in the Columbia area. Didn't see him pipe up yet.

Randy I had the same thought this weekend. While I was at work I was thinking, "well, today woulda been MBB. Boy am I glad Ron decided to cancel this year!"

Hunker down and stay dry Vinny, it's on it's way to you!

I saw a yellow dot in the sky this morning, It's the SUN yippee, have not seen it for over a week, sunny today in the low 70's the rain is gone.

Glad all is good with you folks out east. Could you send a few buckets full of water out here?

I just read that all of the water that fell on So. Carolina, if fell in California, would have ended the drought there.

Buckets full? How about a super tanker or two full?
If we got that much water California would wash off into the ocean.
