68 Coupe Daily Driver - Keeping it running and trying to impove it

Yes, I do not have the confidence in the truck yet.

This morning the headlights did not work on my mustang, I think I have another headlight switch somewhere.

The sun visors were smashed into the molded in overhead console that I bought at Mustangs to fear. I believe they had special sun visors that were thinner at the end to prevent this. I had the idea of turn the bracket around and it worked great.

I've been looking at the Molded overhead console headliner from MTF. How did you change the color from black to what it is now? Paint or dye or other? Very interested because I really like the looks and the functionality of them. My '65 Fastback is in need of this headliner.

Replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter last night.

Put the 68 connector on the tilt column I rebuilt. Hope to install this weekend. Will check for vacuum leaks tomorrow.

Anyone know what the 2 spare wires are for?

Yes. What you have is a generic Ford turn signal that fits your year Mustang along with other FLM vehicles. The other wires are not used. Please tape the tips and tuck them out of the way.

Thanks mid, I will put heat shrink on the pins and tape the up somewhere. Hopefully I will get the tilt column installed Saturday.

Last February, I took the Mustang to a break shop to fix a nagging issue I was stumped on. When they put on the pads they used 1 pin from a drum brake. that is what did the scaring on the rotor. (IDIOTS)

What is it about this stang and brake issues? Now I can not get it to bleed successfully. I keep getting air out the front driver side, I guess I need to try the passenger side again to see if it is just one side or both. I also seeing bubbles rising out the MC bowl from the piston area.

John
I am bringing your modified fuel filler with me if you want to install it for the trip. Sorry I didn't get it done before you leave home

That ok Craig. Look forward to seeing you, I give you a call when we get there! Maybe we can meet for dinner with Pat! I also want to see you power assist set up in your 67.

cool, yes I hope Pat comes down. And sure thing. I am glad I got PS. Next year maybe AC!

Rebuilt and installed a 68 tilt column. I did not hook up the tilt away mechanize. Now I do not have to drive bowlegged. Tilt99.JPG

I put in a fan shroud to hopefully solve the overheating issue. BUT...

On my test drive, Some old roofing material blew out of a construction trailer and a piece about 2' round hit my hood and windshield. Got some awful scratches on the hood and a 8" crack in the windshield.

I just can not get ahead.

Will update this thread of my wreck rebuild.

Need to rebuild the tilt column, Something busted, Looks like the bearing came apart. While I am at it. I have another 67 column that I going to redo from spare parts. Need to make some $$$ to fund some of the repairs/improvements that the insurance does not cover.
