High Beam Switch (foot pedal)

Hi All

Having headlight trouble for a while. Replaced the headlight switch lasts year which worked for a while. Then they went dead again in high and low.

Parking lights still go on in low beam (two pulls). And the foot switch does nothing.

Got a replacement foot switch today at the recommendation of my local Mustang shop, but am having a heck of a time pulling off this "10-minute" job. The old plug/switch broke off when I went to remove it, leaving behind the prongs in the receiving plug.

Any suggestions for getting it out without damaging the socket end of the plug??

Thank you!

I have every year connector for $5 plus $3 for shipping. PM me if you break yours.

Thanks for all your replies!

I got in there, and got the old socket out - but it does look like I need to replace the plug. Thanks for your offer, Midlife. I'll keep you posted if I can't find one local.

Now, though, my headlights turn on (low beam) but my horn doesn't work?

Oh, wiring systems...

Got the replacement plug, but it's got all black wiring and the original cables coming from under the hood are 2-red 1-green.

How do I match these up
correctly?

Thanks in advance!image.jpg image.jpg

The center pin is power from the headlight switch, typically red/orange; the outside pins are green/black and red/black. It really doesn't matter which of the outside pins are used, because the switch simply switches from one side to the other.
