Washing machine repair.

Just picked up a washer and dryer for a steal on craigslist and the guy said that the only thing wrong with the washer is the hot water doesn't operate. I was thinking a simple water valve replacement would be a good place to start.
Thoughts?
it's a Roper (Whirlpool brand)

If it's only the hot water side, then I'd say it's a bad solenoid on the water inlet valve.

Replaced the solenoid and it all works amazing!!

Not bad for getting the set for $40!!!
