66 - Brace under dash unsure where/how it goes

I don't have a pic of the part yet sorry... I remember taking this brace out from under the dash a couple years ago, now for the life of me I can't figure out how it goes back in. I checked the shop manual and the interior assembly manual and can't find any pics or reference to it. It's just a round bar, approx. 2' long or so, with flat bent tabs w/screw holes on both ends for attaching the bar to something. if anyone has a clue how it goes back in it would be much appreciated. My brother has a 66 convertible also and I can check his car as a last resort but I won't have a chance to get to his place for at least a week and I don't want to go any further with my dash assembly until I figure this part out.

Any ideas appreciated, thanks.

adding comment: I know it's almost impossible to know what I'm talking about without a good pic, but my car is currently an hour west of me and my brother is an hour east of me and I dnd't have anything to take a pic with while I was working on the car.

that's it! thanks ! where did you find that diagram, I should have it in one of my manuals but could not find it.

I saved it from a post by Charles Turner over on the Concours Forum. IIRC it came out of a TSB.

The brace is in the '66 Body Assembly manual, just not drawn very clearly like the image I posted.

Don't hesitate to ask old dogs.
"Old dogs"...sheesh, you're too kind Bruno! ;)
