Fidanza billet flywheel. Opinions?

I was going through my files and found an old build profile I was making and I had listed Fidanza as a possible vendor for my flywheel, clutch disc and pressure plate. Lots of positive aspects, just want to do a little due diligence with real world experts. Im ready to make my buy. Thanks in advance for your posts.

Trust me when I say you do NOT want myself or {.} giving you any advice in this department.

Not really, Ray. I'm putting an 11" clutch in front of my built T-5. I bought a McLeod SFI rated bell housing and a Fidanza aluminum alloy (13.5 lbs) flywheel tonight. That should allow my stroker to spool up quickly.

Specially built up T-5's are a risky route. You will need to take extreme care when shifting to get it to last. I have no doubt that your engine will rev quickly with an aluminum flywheel. Thats good because your shifts are going to be slower than you could reliably manage with a stronger transmission. Making a T5 bulletproof is a real money pit.

Just my experience and 2 cents.

I have personally beat the crap out of a T-5 with a healthy small block and never had catastrophic results. Have another bolted up in my latest waiting to do the same. Now a 3650...different story. Helps if you have the driver mod, I guess.
