What do you use to pop that out from the inside? Looks a hell of a lot better now!Went back down to the shop and started repairing the dents on a used set of headers I picked up.
Both sides looked like this....
That is a fantastic innovative approach... I have a mandrel bent tail pipe section with a big dent in it that I wanted to re-use... I'm going to try your method out on that. Great idea!!!I seal them up with an old tube and vise grips, put about 50-60PSI in them and heat them with a torch.
It looks like the clutch problem was an easy fix. The Bleeder screw somehow backed out and pissed all the fluid out. I am back in business. Should be able to go back on the rollers soon due to the easy fix and back home to me by the end of the week.My car was getting tuned on the dyno today and the clutch went dead. Something in the hydrauics went out. I don't know yet if it is as simple as the hose or if it is a mc or slave cylinder. I am a bit disgusted but at least it should be an easy fix. The master cylinder has me the most concerned. I got it before the company went out of business in 2008ish time frame and hope that is not the problem. Finding a replacement may be difficult if it can't be rebuilt. I'll see soon enough. They did say that it looks like it will be putiting out close to 14 lbs of boost. I hope that equates to a little over 600 at the wheels.
I now lost my place in line at the tuner while repairs are made and it will be a couple weeks before it goes back on the rollers.
Smart idea, but I didn't see in the pictures how you applied pressure to the pipes after vice-gripping them down. Is that a valve on the collector side in the center of the pipe?I seal them up with an old tube and vise grips, put about 50-60PSI in them and heat them with a torch.
