Stainless brake/fuel lines - 37 degree flaring tool

What has anyone used to put the 37 degree flare on stainless brake/fuel lines? I need to make a couple cuts in the lines for things like fuel pump and proportioning valve. I see some inexpensive flaring kits but most say 'not for stainless'... no clue why, or if I they would work for the couple flares I need with them before trashing them.

any thoughts?

Good thing you mentioned stainless steel lines.
So guys , its about stainless steel lines !!!!

whoops, my bad? I searched and found a couple posts on the subject but nothing too out of whack... but my search skills could be lacking... :)

maybe I f&*ked up getting the ss lines, not the 1st time and surely won't be the last.

I am doing mine all in stainless. Not all stainless is equal or of same quality. For sure need a quality tool. Easy to crack. I have the Eastwood tool with the revolving head. They sell an adapter now for 37 degree work. I have not done my actual lines but test made a few flares and they turned out very good.

the eastwood tool looks awesome, I have looked and lusted after it before. but I purchased pre-bent lines, and only have maybe 4-6 flares at most to do and cannot justify the $$ for that tool. I think I'll check with my mechanic to see if he has one and can do the flares for me. paying for the couple flares I need may be more cost effective than buying an expensive tool I'll probably only use once. I just need to plumb in an electric fuel pump in the fuel line and a proportioning valve in the brake lines.

I have a hydraulic flaring tool from Mastercool which is great. If you only have a couple to do I would take the tubest to a shop that makes hydraulic hoses. They will flare them for you and should be a very reasonable expense. That way if they screw it up they can make another one for you right then. :)
