A new twist to Thanksgiving dinner

Due to our dog recovering from its amputation, my in-laws (Father, Mother, sister, brother and their families) are all coming to our place for Thanksgiving dinner.

As such, we're likely going to poach some salmon on the Primo grill and my wife has a great idea: Smoked Oysters!

I've got calls into 4 seafood markets in the SoCal area and will decide who I purchase from. I've got a couple of recipes in mind.... More to come!

Another very wonderful way is to cedar plank the Salmon. Be careful what you buy since the season is over. Unless they've had king frozen, it can easily be Farmed Atlantic which = yuk!

Food was AWESOME! All Oysters were consumed. My Brother in Law brought Calimari and roasted that, while my Sister in Law brought and poached Salmon. Of course, we also had delicious turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberries, roasted broccoli. Pumpkin pie and flan to boot. I'll try to get pictures.

Farmed salmon has zero health benefits so don't bother buying it unless you're feeding a bag full of cats

Why would anyone waste money feeding a bag of cats some salmon. Now, if you are feeding a bag of cats to some salmon that I can understand!:D
