My 67 fastback build

Thought I was gonna be burning the quarter in this weekend. Got the rocker in, and started fitting... I had the rocker kinked in the rear causing fitment issues. After correcting that, I chased gap issues all day. After I stepped away from it and grabbed a shower, I had am eureka moment... move the door lol. I had been hesitate to adjust the door after me and Craig had it perfect on the old quarter. Anyhow move the door up 1/4 inch and looks good.

What do you guys think? Ready to burn in?

Had to do a little beating on the lower trunk gap. Still need to move the metal a touch more, but I can do that after welding in the quarter.

Good enough to proceed with welding her in?

How does the fenders fit now ??
Something to consider with.
1/4 inch is enough to mess up front I guess.

My fenders are garbage, I've had 4 sets and still not happy with any of them. I'm almost to the point where I'm going to buy aftermarkets and make them fit wherever.

Might be worth while to get the welder out and lengthen the door an 1/8 - 1/4" That 1/4" has to be made up somewhere. Might show at fender to cowl or fender to hood alignment. Either way, I would be bolting the front end on and checking things out before committing to anything.

It wasn't the gap that was off. The gap has been great the whole time. It was style lines that weren't matching. I loosened the door and raise it 1/8 to 1/4 inch up in the rear to get my style lines correct.

Thanks guys.

Got some welds to dress and a few small things to finish welding. Them planning on trying to build a wooden tip over jig to get it on its side to finish the bottom, epoxy, then bed line.

I would use that OSB board on both sides oo those 2 x 6 .
but the idea is great........and cheap .
