Hi there I have been trying to put my shock plates on and I can not get them lined up to put the shocks on. I have been sticking the old shocks threw the upper hole and checking to see how they line up and the hole is off that its to much of a angle. Not sure whats up.

Not sure what you mean by shock plates. Are you talking about the front shock tower caps where the top of the shock fastens? or...the rear bottom plates that fasten to the springs?

If you are referring to the front shocks, the front end of these cars has a tendency to sag over the years even if there is no history of a collision. One approach is to loosen the lower shock mounting nuts at the spring perches and then use a jack to slightly lift the front of the car from the center of the radiator support. This often relaxes the sagging shock tower allowing you to attach the shock to the shock tower caps with greater ease. Don't forget to re-tighten the lower nuts before taking it out for a spin.

o wow was installing them wrong. was going the wrong way on the U bolts. just got one side right and did the other ubolts and it works and will finish today. Next will be the brake system in the front.
